8th-9th July,2005-Milmersdorf/ Ahlimbsmühle, GERMANY

That was the first visit to the Under The Black Sun Festival this year. I'd heard about the festival that many black metal bands played every year, and it was the 8th year at that time.
It was held in a place called Ahlimbsmühle where was about 60km north of Berlin, and the audience had already been camping when I got there by car on the first day. It was really sunny and warm day,so I felt relief a bit as I knew that the weather forecast had showed it would be rainy whole of the day.

Walking around in the festival site before it begun, there were some shops selling like T-shirts,rings,CDs and so on. Some audiences had already started drinking, waiting for the first band, and there was even a guy who fell down on the ground because of being drunk
Some pars of the running order changed because a couple of bands had been cancelled and replaced to other ones.It was sunny at the day time, but getting to be cloudy since the festival started.

At the first night, luckily the Norwegian black metal horde Ragnarok was playing while it wasn't rainning. They joined this festival as the 3rd time, and the audiences showed great enthusiasm for their gig. Then the band reflected their satanic performance ,and especially it seemed the vocalist was so excited

When American Krieg started to play,it started raining again and even heavier. And besides some sounds equipments problems happened when they were playing,so eventually their gig had to be interrupted
As a result, their gig was re-played at the next day.

After Krieg stopped their playing, the rain was getting to be heavier and heavier, then it became thunder storm at the end The audience just could be under some roofs, and I really hoped to be fine the following day...

Some rains had still remained in the morning at the second day,but the thunder storm stopped. We went to the festival site to have breakfast.I found it would be served by 6euros,and actually I thought it was quite expensive, but I understood the price deserved for it just after entering to the restaurant. It was a proper buffet-style,which was like the one in accommodation, and several kinds of cheese and ham were put on the table. So we were enough satisfied

An Irish band Primordial was playing as the last band for this festival. It seemed only they were musically quite different from any other bands,so I wondered how the audience would react for their gig. As soon as their show started, the audience rushed in front of the stage and expressed a great response

After the exciting gigs,we were drinking until the next morning as usual, but unfortunately I had to leave there in the early morning to get on a plane. I didn't know any phone numbers for the taxi,so asking a german audience,I could finally get on it to the nearest train station.
However,I should have booked it in advance,as it took about 30minutes until the taxi arrived at the festival site.
