We got to the festival by ourselves by public transport this year. The bus operated between the nearest station and the festival site wasn't the special festival shuttle bus but the local one,but we could easily find it in front of the station as a lot of metal audiences were queuing The camping site at the previous year was quite far from the festival site,so we had to come and go between them by the bus which was operated by the festival. However, the camping site was closer this year,so the audience managed it by foot.

In spite of good weather at the first day, there was a sudden shower when Napalm Death was playing. And then Burney who's a vocalist of the band explained about it that it was British weather
The Kovenant was playing as a last band at the second stage in the first day.It seems they don't really tour,so we were lucky to be able to see their gig.

We firstly saw Hypnos at the second stage in a mid day,but it was so warm as they played at the day time. When it was really warm at the day time, the security people were showering to the audience while the band was playing. It was OK when the shower was light, but sometimes it was quite heavy, especially when Amon Amarth was playing at the main stage, and then our clothes got really wet as if wearing them,we'd swum in a swimming pool . But they dried soon though...

Fintroll was playing as a last band at the second stage in the second day. It was the second time to see the band for me,but I've never seen them with their original vocalist. And besides a vocalist who was singing at the festival was different from the time when I'd previously seen their gig at With Full Force Festival in 2002 as well.I like their music, and I know the original vocalist of the band left due to his throat's problem, but I'm not really familiar with the details of them,so I'm not sure if the vocalist who was singing at Summer Breeze this year is permanent.

In fact,Primordial should have been playing at the last day,but unfortunately it was cancelled. We were really looking foreword to see their gig,but it couldn't be helped...
It was the last summer festival this year for us.We were back packing to see 3 festivals including Summer Breeze, and we definitely tanned a lot, although we used a skin cream to avoid it It means if we hadn't used it we'd have tanned more So I recommend bringing a skin cream to go open-air festivals. Moreover,it's better to have tissues(both dry and wet) as many as possible, otherwise your hands must be getting dirty

22st-24rd August,2002- Abtsgmund, Germany

I was camping for that festival since I was an elementally school student or something
Fortunately I and my friend could go there by a car with our friends,as they lived in Germany and had a car. After all,we needed to bring just some clothes and sleeping bags, because they'd prepared a tent for us,and besides they built it up.While they were making it,we were just watching it for festivals in the next year

Despite the weather cast had expected it would be raining,or possibly thunder storm, actually all days for the festival were fine. But,we prepared something to the terrible weather though...

Entwine impressed me the most at the first day in the band which I saw. I wasn't really familiar with that kind of music, but I enjoyed to see their gig without any information in advance.
Mirror of Deception, which is our friend's band was playing at the second day. We saw their gig close to the stage, but it was really warm as the sun blazed quite strongly. Berphegor should have been playing at the first day,but actually they played at the second day because they couldn't reach the festival in time due to the heavy traffic while they moved from another festival.Quite many audiences were disappointed when we recognised not to be able to see Berphegor at the first day,so it was lucky to see their gig as a result
I was looking foreword to see Dimmu Borgir the most in that festival, but unfortunately the sound was so dull.At first,it was quite difficult to recognize even which song they played, although I know their songs.
Pain was playing as a last band.It wasn't at the main stage, but certainly I enjoyed their gig the most in the second day.
During the festival was held, many bands had autograph sessions. We supposed that it must have been a good opportunity go get autographs,so we get them from Agathodaimon on our hats which were distributed at the festival's site at the last day.

As our friends made the tent up,they removed it as well.We didn't need to do anything about the tent, but we swore to do it by ourselves in the next year
