Finally we went to Inferno festival after 2 years! It was held for 3 nights since last year,so a scale of the festival has been bigger and bigger. In fact,I was talking some people who were from other countries like the US and Spain in the venue, then I felt how the festival became widely popular, but I went there from another country though...

Actually,it was quite difficult to get the tickets which were 3 days-passes for the festival this year,as just a few of them had been left when we tried to get them.Eventually we managed to get them, but as soon as we got them, they were sold out.We just wanted to get them after the bands which would be playing at was published, but actually most people got the tickets before it was announced. In the end, even one-day tickets were almost sold out,so I wonder if the festival would be held at the same venue in the future.

We saw Gorgoroth for the first time in the first night. Of course we expected to see them, but actually we were quite curious them in a different way,as we found that they'd been under investigation by Police in Poland because of their gig there, according to a magazine.
I have to say that My Dying Bride was playing excellently! Actually I'd never seen them even though I was living in London before, and then I reviewed why I hadn't go their gig. Anyway, they turned the scene at the festival on....

At the second day,I was looking foreword to see Susperia as I'd never seen their gig,and besides I missed to see them in London.I like listening their CDs,but unexpectedly their gig was much better than their CDs,both musically and visually.Furthermore, their stage was decorated gorgeously,so as if it had been the last band.

We were slightly tired at the last night, but we really excited at that night as well! However,We were quite disappointed that Decapitated was playing such early time, and it seemed a lot of other audience supposed so as well.
Defiled started to play about 10:15 at John Dee.I've seen their gigs a couple of times in Tokyo,so I was interested how they'd play and audience would response them, because it would be rare that Japanese death metal bands play in any other countries. It seemed that certainly audience was more enthusiastic than in Japan, and I thought it was much better than their playing in Tokyo.
We were talking to leave John Dee before Myrkskog would finish to play, because we expected there should have been a jam at Rockefeller as Mayhem would play lastly, although we wished we had been able to see whole of their gig. Since Defiled started to play,a lot of audience went around between Rockefeller and John Dee,so when we left John Dee,people made a really long queue to enter there. As we expected, there was nearly no space even just for standing in front of the stage at Rockefeller.I saw Mayhem's gig in Skien(Norway) last year, but I suppose they were playing in Oslo after a long time.Everyone was so excited since before their gig would start, and after that, feeling over the festival finally reached the highest Anyway, during their playing, flashes from the numerous cameras didn't stop!

We were staying in Phoenix Hotel which is less than 10 minutes away from the venue at that time.It was handy to commute(?) from the hotel to the venue, and besides just opposite of Elm Street Cafe that is a metal pub.The pub served a discounted menu during the festival.
